Common Admission Test: CAT is the most popular and exclusive entrance exam in India with over 2 lakh candidates appearing every year. Clearing this exam means direct admission to the most premium Indian Institute of Management. IIMs offer close to 3500 seats and the competition for the seat is tough and requires high mental capability. CAT exams a divided into three sections: Quantitative Aptitude includes arithmetic, algebra, geometry, commercial maths; Data Interpretation includes logical reasoning and data interpretation; Verbal Ability includes reading comprehension, verbal logic, vocabulary, Grammar correction. The first section comprises of fundamental mathematics as of 10+2 level. The second section provides data and requires the candidate to answer questions based on the given data. Xavier Aptitude Test: XLRI Jamshedpur is one of the tops ranked B schools in India. And regulates its own entrance test XAT. A number of candidates appearing can be over a lakh in a year. XAT has a reputation as one of the toughest MBA exams in India. The seats are very limited and hence the exam is extremely competitive. The XAT has four sections: Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, GK, and Essay.
IIFT Delhi Exam: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi regulates a test which is also popular among MBA aspirants. The exam offers 270 seats in Delhi and Kolkata Campus. There are nearly 60, 00 candidates appearing every year for this exam. The exam involves Quantitative analysis, Local Reasoning, English Comprehension, General Knowledge, and Awareness. There is 123 question with negative marking of 1/3rd to be answered in 2 hours.
Common Management Aptitude Test: CMAT is conducted by the AICTE. It provides admission in some premium private Business Schools Such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, and Goa Institute of Management. CMAT also includes Quantitative Techniques & Data interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. These 100 questions with a total of 400 marks and -1 for every wrong answer.
